5. Can I involve others in the ceremony?
There are several ways we can do this. Maybe you want your children to be attendants. You can write special vows for your children. You can involve others in many different ways, such as releasing doves or butterflies, blowing bubbles, letting go balloons. There are companies that specialise in these effects and you can get this information from “ideas” on my site. You can ask friends or relatives to sing or recite a poem or inspirational reading. I will help you choose these if you are unsure. Another option is having a friend sing or recite a poem while the bride walks down the aisle, or while the register is being signed.
6. Is my wedding certificate proof of change of name?
No its not. You need to get an official marriage certificate from the Registrar of Births, Deaths & Marriages ( BDM ). I can order this for you when I send in the legal forms to BDM. You will not need additional identification if we do it at this time. There is a charge by BDM of $25.50. You will need this if you want to use your married name on official documents such as your passport and your licence.
